Robert Forsythe Tackle James Parrish Tackle Jerry Bryant Tackle Jim Nelson Tackle Rams Stomp Cleburne, 28 6 Dietz made the first touchdown in a 28-6 game against Cleburne with a 41-yard burst and then a 3-yard dive to close a 50-yard, 5-play drive. Griffis kicked the first of 4 extra points, making the score 7-0. Then late in the sec- ond period, George Richard recovered a Cleburne fum- ble. On the first down Reisig fired down the middle to Crow, who romped 15 yards for a score. Then, in the fourth stanza, Cleburne's fourth down gamble failed and the Rams took over on the Cleburne 18. Four plays later Reisig scored. The Jackets took the kickoff, but their first down effort failed when Dietz intercepted and Weaved 45 yards for another score just 28 seconds later. Rams Topple Trojans, 14-7 Hey, Taylor, where's the ball? Rams Painter 4205, Griffis 1771, and Richard 4331 stop Dietz is toppled as he tries for crucial yardage. ZOO a Trojan. The Rams came from behind in the fourth quarter of the first district game for a 14-7 victory over a gallant Univer- sity High team. Dietz, who moved from fullback to left half- back to replace injured Losak, made the first score after a 61-yard, 9-play drive. Then the Trojans scored and kicked the extra point making the score 7-6. Then came the break. Hays Moore recovered a fumble late in the third period that left the Rams only 31 yards from paydirt. After moving 31 yards in 10 plays George Richard scored on the fourth down. This put the Rams ahead 14-7. Then after a passing flurry by the Trojans another fumble, recovered by Bob Mosley, gave the Rams the ball for the rest of the game. Tigers Trip Rival Rams, 14-7 L Johnson races to get ball before Tiger tackler gets him. 202 4. Crow reaches out for the ball. 'Q - 'ii - 1 .eh Tight Ram defense stops Tiger ball-carrier. The Richfield Rams were shocked at their homecoming game by the Waco High Tigers, who scored two lightning first quarter touchdowns to upset the Rams, 14-7. The first shocker Was a first-possession touchdown with C. A. Miller sweeping right end for 28 yards. Next, the Tigers cashed in on a short Richfield punt for their second score. The Rams' score came after Jim Parrish recovered a fumble by Luft. After Reisig's gain of 6 yards on a fourth and five, Milton Painter scored. Griffis made the extra point. A goal line stand by the Rams came in the fourth quarter. Later the Rams had a fourth down and 1 yard to the goal. Reisig slammed over left guard and appeared momentarily to be over. Then Reisig was stacked by a gang of Tigers and the ball was spotted 6 inches from the goal. A thousand Ram- backer's hearts broke as the Tigers took over and ran out the clock.
