The Edwards Literary Soci- ety, an organization which recognizes outstanding ability in literary activities, is named after Mrs. Margaret Royalty Edwards, a citizen of Waco and former Poet Laureate of Texas. To become a member, a student must have an A average in Advanced English and an over-all average of ninety. The members partici- pate in the Interscholastic League Ready Writing con- tests.
