This band was selected to be the official band of the Asso. of Fairs of Texas. On February 4, 1952, the concert band and the stage band played at the Ba- ker Hotel for the Asso. of Fairs Convention. Two members of the Eag1e's band were in the State Band. These two students were Joe Pearce, saxophonist and Louise Core, clarinet player. For a person to be in the State Band there are many requirements which must be fulfilled. The band also performed at the half of each of the football games, and marched in many parades in Dallas. Baylor University invited the Golden Eagle Band to perform at one of its half- time performances. Here the band made a fine showing. We are very proud of our band and of all the many honors it has received. .J ,,f' ,vw s.., BAND MAJORETTES Drum Majorette - - - - - BETTY VINSON Rope Twirler - - - ------ JOAN JONES Baton Twirler - - - - - WANDA KINCHLOW Baton Twirler - - - - - BARBARA FRENCH Baton Twirler - - - - - PATSY HUGHES lv FUTURE FARMERS OF AMERICA Front row, left to right: James Webb, Bill Louwein, Kenneth Mulkey, Gerald Wright, Jack Churchwell, Gene Bell, Jimmie Meason, F.F.A.
