The Agriculture boys gave the last part of the program in which some speeches were given by different boys of the club. The outstanding boy of the Agriculture club for this year was Jimmie Gentle. Jimmie gave a report on how much money he had made and spent raising his stock. O I I almost passed out to find the doctor to be ROBERT HOLMES They both told me that they had done real well in the medxcal business and that they enroyed their work very much That afternoonl visited the motorcycle races As one entry came out the announcer called out a name that I knew at once He sa1d that ROBERT HARRIS was the standing champion and was trying for his championship again Robert came out on top again by win ning the U S Championship Motorcycle Races My next stop was in Philadelphia Pennsylvania Since I had only one night to spend here I decided to make good use of it by going to the famous intra state basketball games The captain of the winning girls basketball team was NADINE HUTCHERSON Her team had won the title for the past three years She was named All American girl 1n basketball for this year The next day I arrived in New York City That afternoon I visited one of the famous universities in New York As I was walking down the halls of the Engineering Buildingl heard a teacher lecturing to his class I glanced into the room and you will never imagine who the professor was It was RICHARD ASI-IBY I didn t take time to say hello to him but I could tell by his lecture that he had made a success That night I met some friends on Ninth at Broadway to go dancing All night long we danced to the music of GERALD WALLIS s Band He was as famous now as Guy Lombardo had been ten years ago The following mornmgl went to see a famous television show It was the QUIZ KIDS SHOW After listerung to the entire show they asked their mother to come and be intro duced to the audrence Their mother was BARBARA RAINEY Was I ever surprised' They lived in Wisconsrn but were in New York for th1s special show Next I visited the town ofC1ncxnnat1 Ohio I was riding on the bus through town one day and I saw a used car lot that had lots of nice looking cars I got off the bus and pro oeeded to look at some cars A nice looking salesman came up to help me and when he got closer I recognized him to be BOBBY STULTS As I talked to Bobby for awh1le I found out that his partner was DEXTER WALVOORD They had been in the used car business for eight years and had made quite a profit of it Dexter sull had his old car Blue Goose which he was keeping as a remembrance of his high school days That afternoon I went window shopping and saw a sign in one of the big department stores lt read Be sure to see the style show at 4 OO thls afternoon Featuring our guest model SANDRA WHITMORE I decided that I must see this Sandra was a very charmlng model and did a swell Job of her modeling The next day l just took a walk around the big city I saw a huge buildmg under con struction The contractors were DRUMM 81 NETTLE Those names sounded familiar I got closer to the big sign and saw that II was Phxllrp Nettle and Gary Drumm I imagined they were well known in th1s city for their brg construcuon Jobs they had done The next few days I traveled homeward When fmally arrrvrng In Richardson I decided to vrsrt the school where all these seniors had graduated from 1n 1951 I made my way into the school buxldmg All of the teachers thatl saw were new But one wasn t It was JANET SKILES. She taught the social studies in high school. Although I might mention that her name wasn't Skiles any more. While I was talking to Janet we heard the siren from the fire house. In a very few minutes the fire engine came rapidly down the highway. The fire chief was driving and I caught a glimpse of his red hair. I asked Janet who the fire chief was and she told me it was MONTY JACKSON. My dream came to an abrupt end.
