Lois Carroll, Maryland State Orchestra. The top goals for music students in Maryland are the Maryland State Chorus and Orchestra. This year Jeff Fahrner, Alan Hinde, and Kathy Shuma were chosen for the Maryland State Chorus. Lois Carroll was chosen to be a member of the State Orchestra. Auditions began last spring and those students with a 1 or 2 rating went on to the State Solo Festival held in Frederick. Those with the highest rating on the most difficult pieces attended a program in Baltimore with the State Chorus for a joint concert. 24 0 Honors MARYLAND STATE CHORUS AND ORCHESTRA J. Fahrner, A.
