from snoozing through Mr. Ashburner is the only one in the English class who laughs at his joke. An atmosphere of relaxed gaiety prevails in Mr. Jones' classes.

Through English class was a universal experience, a little something was added in almost every class to make it not only memorable but unique for the students involved. English teachers found not only larger classes last fall, but extra help from several student teachers. Mrs. Dippell's scholars lugged huge stacks of 4 x 6 cards to and fro, while Mrs. Weaver's students tried frantically to memorize the many definitions she gave them in order to pass those infamous Board Quizzes. A way-out picture of Grendel set the mood for Mr. Ashburner's classes, while across the hall students chuckled to Mr. Mac's anecdotes. And who could forget Mrs. Bills' big black Rocket Balloon? Or the time Miss Marcello's entire class stuck 2 long pieces of spaghetti into their mouths at exactly 12:45? Of course there were more serious sides to the English classes, such as term papers, continuous vo- cabulary lessons, grammar tests and those ever-so- popular panel discussions. It's that simple! gestures a frustrated Mr. McEachern. takes many forms . . . Resource Teacher Mrs. Dipped is happy that a Rocket member finally wrote a caption correctly.
