Our mathematics department has had a big year. Many of our students are going into the more advanced areas of math. General students and commercials study practical phases of mathematics. Our Road to Understanding Social Studies is taught in many parts of our school. The chief purposes seem to be to indicate what good citizenship really is and to make us aware of our heritage. Areas of Nature Observed Approaching the end of a long corridor strange odors drift through the air. Looking in room 116, you might see Mr. Berk” Fauley conducting an experiment by burning sulphur. It might be the peculiar odor of formaldehyde from across the hall. Miss Grace Smith brings a frog out of a jar for dissecting. Laws of the fulcrum are explained in Physics under Mrs. Hurley’s guidance. Variations other than class work appear in our annual Science Fair.
