Our Days . . . In the valley Far away in a beautiful valley, Where the river rushes by, And the mountain peaks so lofty Are close against the sky, Stands our cherished Alma Mater The dear ole ' Rich Valley High. The desire for knowledge increases ever with the ac- quisition of it at our school. High school days form the greatest pattern for the future, so in the valley we have come seeking many things. Amid our beautiful surround- ings we have learned to build and to search for a greater tomorrow. Our Senior Class has been inspired by accom- plishments in every year of the past. We entered this year with smiles and eagerness and purpose; big dreams and plans and most of it sincere. Our days in the valley have been numbered--the five years have passed quickly and there have been many happy fulfillments- -our class work, our associations with the teachers, our participa- tion in activities, and our challenge for graduation. Teresa Marion, LASSO editor, works on plans for the 1964 yearbook. This book, the Lasso of 1964, is a story book of our days here. It will tell of our lives as seniors in this val- ley- -the one we love and cherish. Here we students have found something to remember, but more than that we have found something to live by. Here, the constant challenge, the desire to excel, a stimulus for learning is found. Here, the search for the challenge is found in our valley. As we leave this school we hope to be leaders and to give ourselves to our country. May you keep our book to look back in years to come to recall our class . . . and the good we have done. Seniors study in Mr. DeBord ' s government class. 4
