PRESENTING THE CHALLENGE This our yearbook is designed to keep alive the memories of our last high school year. We have selected as a theme, Opening the Door to a Challenge. In developing this theme we ask our¬ selves what is it that sets our school apart? What indefinable quality places it among those at the top? Our school does instil in the students a desire to excel and we recognize the encourage¬ ment which we have gained in developing our very best. As we profit from unlimited educational opportunities we become a contributing member of society. Each year brings new ideas, new experiences, and new goals. These influence the molding of each student into a complete individual, a repre¬ sentative of the overwhelming challenge of Rich Valley High. We are attempting to show in pictures and in words what this last year means to us. Our 1960 Lasso is more than just a record of the school and its activities. It is something more than a book of memories; it is our inspiration and guide not only for this year, but for many yet to come. As we look through the pages many times, the faces will remind us of the encouragement and inspiration we have received each day. We hope to preserve the many wonderful experiences lived at our Rich Valley High. With this thought in mind, Opening the Door to a Challenge, begin looking over our book. May it mean to you many helpful ideas for happy living! The 1960 Seniors
