( )ur new principal, M r, A. P. Iwwicki, who was entering Rich X ' alley for the first time, assigned ns to our homerooms, W’e were di ided into two sections. A to II ' in Section A with Mr, h.ugene ()rr as sponsor, and the remainder of the students w as jdaced in Section H w ith Mrs. .A. P. Lecicki as sponsor. W ' e soon became adjusted to our schedules and began to enjoN our high schoid work. ()ne of the highlights of the tear was the crowning of Nellie Mc( iiiire as ipieen of 1 ill-; La.sso. ( )ur sophomore year began minus thirty who had fallen by the wayside. Our sponsors w ere M iss Helen khdiihan, w ho had forty-fne of us, am I .M iss (Jlenna I )el)ord, who had the remaining ten. ‘ began to participate in carious clubs nainelt : Phe Heta, F.l ' .A., h ' .II.A. and Music Club. .Also, many of our members became members of the basketball and football sc]uads. During this year we realized the importance of our high school education. W hen the hell rang on September ( , IO47, we, as Juniors, were joined by elecen students from 1 annerstille making our class emadlinent fifty. ‘ were delighted to hace Mr. h ' . M. ()ur Junior tear as one of the happiest and most profitable tears we had experienced. 1 his year fifty of us, twent -fice girls and twent -five boys, returned as Seniors. W’e were glad to have Airs.
