Baseball 1968 The Varsity Diamondmen finished the season by taking five S.W.S. games in a row, but the effort was only good for a seventh place finish in the South West Suburban Conference. The Rockets dropped their first twelve games, and dwelt in the cellar for most of the sea- son. The team was eliminated from state competition after dropping their first game to host Bloom in the District Tournament. Leading the Rockets from the mound were Paul Nelson, Bob Mar- tin, and Terrie Kerestes. The big bats were provided by Bob Martin and first baseman jim Klema. 1 lol
