Mr. Cottingham draws attention as he comes to the aid of a puzzled student. Mathematics curriculum was expanded this year by the addition of two new courses in algebra. Also begun was a system of programmed learning involving the use of teaching machines in such subjects as computer mathematics and trigonometry. Advanced physical science and senior science were a major part of the Science Division's expansion this year, offering a wider variety of choice to science-minded students. Honors and seminar programs were continued in both parts of the division.
