Through a series of flashbacks, the circumstances sur- rounding the murder were revealed to the audience. Brack Weaver, condemned to die for the killing of Thomas Bouche, escapes from 'jail to see Jenny Par- sons again before his death. Song of Democracy, by Howard Hanson, was also presented. In the tradition of Rich high teams, the Rich high Forensic squad brought a triple crown conference championship to the school. The team not only swept the conference in both varsity and sub-varsity individual events, but went on to take first in drama, competing against two other presentations of the same play. The contest play, Wfhe Sandbox by Edward Albee, is an example of modern drama. Al- though only fifteen minutes long, the play carries a dramatic denunciation of our present day soci- ety. Criticizing both the modern generations' attitude toward old age, and everyoneis attitude toward death, this deeply symbolic play was well received by the judges.
