The thinclad's main strength was their ability to group runners, thus, while a Rocket might not take first place a team victory would he scored. Outstanding perform- ances were seen from seniors Jim Trout and Jim Patterson and juniors Bob McMichael and Ken Ryder. The frosh-soph team had the most successful sea- son in Richfs history. With a record of 9 wins and 4 losses, the Rockets ran well all year climaxing with a victory in the conference meet. Next yearis varsity players will profit from frosh-soph experiences. The '4Little Rocket gridders finished second to Reavis in the SWS race, posting a 6-l mark. Rich Graham, Rick Hopper, Dave Carty led the Soph offense, which amassed 125 pts. in 7 league affairs. Rick Hawkins, Chuck Watts and Phil Major bolstered the line. Freshman Last second scoring by Homewood-Elossmoor and East Kankakee stopped the Freshman football team from being undefeated. The Baby Rockets in their first year of organized football, score 105 points to their opponents 66. Ken Erickson, Jim Cotton, Jim Nicolosi, and Terry Durant led Coach Bob Rubenow's gridders to a 5-2 record. 99
