IlASlBAll The varsity baseball team, coached by Mr. Swanson, had a chain of rough luck as they dropped eleven of eighteen games. They won six games and tied one. In conference competition they had a record of five won, six lost and one tie. The team's batting was led by Catcher Bart Zeller and the leading pitcher was Ierry Buchmeier. During the 1958 season the frosh-soph trackmen, coached by fo' Rich- Mr. Iames Marzuki and Mr. Iames Curlett, had a ten won, three lost record. Among their best efforts were non- conference victories over Blue Island, Kankakee, and Riverside-Brookfield. Setting five records during the season, the little Rockets were undefeated in conference competition until the conference meet in which they placed fourth.
