VARSITY TRACK The Rocket trackmen, performing to the peak of their ability, edged out a fighting Oak Lawn team 51.7 to 48.5 to win their fifth consecutive Conference Meet. At the Conference Meet records were set by Ray Strecker in the 880 and by lay Bragg in the high jump, and first places secured by Phil Hineline, Dick Harding and the mile relay team. Front: P. During the 1958 season the frosh-soph trackmen, coached by fo' Rich- Mr. Iames Marzuki and Mr. Iames Curlett, had a ten won, three lost record. Among their best efforts were non- conference victories over Blue Island, Kankakee, and Riverside-Brookfield. Setting five records during the season, the little Rockets were undefeated in conference competition until the conference meet in which they placed fourth.
