The division was enlarged to include a program for students unable to profit sufficiently from the regular high school curriculum. Students participating in this program had access to a physical laboratory equipped with kitchen facilities, woodworking equipment and hand tools. Adjacent to this work area was a classroom in which the basic tool subjects were stressed with emphasis upon those skills necessary for competence in occupations.
