Presented by the Speech-Drama department, the play was directed by Miss Elizabeth Brant. The story centered around Mrs. Howard V. LaRue, a rich widow, and her son Howay. It showed how the LaRue household became involved with the witch, Mrs. McThing, who cast a spell on them. The situation further entangled them with the notorious Shantyland Pool Hall mob, which added to the turmoil.
