classes classes As Rice's traditional Sammy Owl watched the year l95l-52 he enjoyed, as is traditional, the class dances and picnics, fresh- man guidance, Senior Follies, and all additional hoopla that promotional wizards of the freshman, sophomore, junior and senior classes entrusted to fill the coffers of their class treasuries. He wit- nessed a booming junior prom with a memorable floor show, a Slime Parade where all the girls got kissed, a successful senior week-end, the stealing of the sophomore president a record nine days before the sophomore dance. He even watched the func- tionings of a new class, the class B graduates. Sammy looked on as a record number of seniors were elected to honor societies, and as the fresh- men gave the first dance ever held at the new field house. He, amd Rice with him, watched the classes with interest, amusement, and pride, for these classes were Rice.
