The game was one of the best of the season in the state. It was a thrilling con- test with both teams playing up to par. The game was decided by an extra point. We had a young team and look to a successful year in '59-'60 at Rice Memorial.

Although they accounted for only one victory there were a few games that might have ended with Cathedral victories, but the breaks of the game were against us. We have many prospects for winners in the making. We expect to win the Plattsbury Invitational once again and also to have several boys among the state's best. We will have Tom Perras, Ed Mercaldo, Tom Gabbeitt, Eugene Cross, Ron Oliver, Pat Wilson, Bob LaMothe, Mike Rivers, Chris Terrien, Gerry Desuatels as returning lettermen. Under the watchful eye of Coach Landers and Coach Tafrate the boys will be properly trained for their respective events.
