Mark Towers, popular orchestra leader, provided the music. An exceptionally well- prepared menu was served. Several members of the faculty were present. lt was generally felt that the selection of the Park Sheraton was a happy one and that the occasion left many with memories that will last a lifetime. The air of excitement, which could compare fav- orably with night club surroundings, had reached its peak at the Prom! Should old acquaintance be for- got was the understood motto of the Prom. The girls with their handsome, debonaire escorts mingled freely with the faculty present at this momentous affair. 1950 Prom Committee has a last-minute get-together before the record-breaking Prom, fleftto rightl: B. It gets its name from the fact that Rice High School has the honor of being named alter the Venerable Founder of the Christian Brothers of Ireland. Several excellent features give it not only a nice tone, but also make it anxiously waited for from time to time. 'l'he outstanding events of the school year are cleverly written up and presented to the stu- dents in a brief but breezy manner. The print- ing job is handled by New City Printing Com- pany of Union City, New Iersey, and it is an offset job. The policy of the paper has been to have the Seniors control the staff with a few Iuniors-in-training ready to take over the next volume. Editor-in-Chief-I. Donahue. Associate Editor-I. Fla- herty.
