THE lilit llllllt At Graduation last year, the Glee Club made a great hit, and, as soon as school was recommenced, work was begun to make it even better this year. However, boys must be growing up more quickly now-a-days, for sufficient Sopranos and Altos could not be obtained and the Club had to convert into a men's choir with two Tenor and two Bass sections. About twenty freshmen f of the larger varietyl were drafted to complete the sections which now contain a total of sixty members. Their first attempt at fame was at the Christmas Concert where they presented a cantata, The Song of Christmas, arranged Front Row, Heft to rightl: Iames Hayes, George O'Neill, Kasper Mannix, George Andreu, Donald Ebbecke, Iohn Corr, Iohn Walsh, Vincent McGurk, Iames Lynch, Den- nis Mahoney, Edward Martinez, Vincent Histon, Charles Powell, Charles Scott. Second Row: Gregory Maguire, Michael Walsh, Neil Graham, Richard Dursee, Carmine DeSantis, Iohn Parker, Iohn Howard, Francis Teehan, Lawrence Sheehan, Gilbert Smith, Otto Leuteritz, Dan- iel O'Keefe, Hulan lack, Thomas Langhorne, Gerald Gargiulo, Iohn Donovan, Iames Fox. Solos, Quartets, and ensembles were sung by various groups, and were so well received as to encourage them to still greater efforts. Immediately after Christmas, the Music Room and Auditorium became the scenes of feverish activity and somewhat melodious sounds at Activity Period. Every day became a Grand Night for Singing. Plans call for an entry into the Catholic High School Festival in April, a Spring Con- cert in May, and Graduation in Iune. Prep- aration for these important events will take all available time for the next few months.
