VARSITY SWIMMI li Although the swimming season was cut short by the acute water shortage, the varsity swimmers gave a good account of them- selves. With two easy victories over Power and Manhattan and a close one over Regis, they brought their season total to three wins and three losses. With Belardi showing the way, the freestylers were in the first two scoring positions every time. K. Flores and D. Sullivan performed very well against much older and more experienced swimmers. Much praise should also be given to W. Morrissey, G. O'Neil, C. Tyson, E. Consay, I. McMahon, and P. Rotchford. With these sophomores, F. Ramppen and W. Green are looking forward to a very good season next year. G. O'Nei1 of Room 241 was presented the annual swim- ming award. HIESHMA SWIMMI li With eight victories against no defeats, this years' team increased the Frosh record to twenty-two straight wins. M. Teehan and R. O'Brein were the pacemakers for the squad, Both of these individuals were undefeated for the year. R. McCredie and I. Sullivan were always fighting each other for the winning spot in the forty yards. M. Clark, I. Fazzino, I. Tansey, D. Ebbecke also participated in our freestyle attack. The backstroke armada was capably handled by O'Brien and I. McCabe. T. Rooney and I. Emerson accounted for the butterflys. Our two strong men, F. Teehan and M. McKeever took care of the diving. They are looking forward to filling in the gaps of the varsity squad.
