G pR', The Curriculum at Rice otters a wide variety ot subjects. For the first two years the students are screened toward their general educational needs. At the end ot Sophomore Year the Faculty Advisor attempts to outline a course ot study in one of the three fields offered. As tar as possible, the student is assigned to that field in which he is most apt to succeed as reflected in a series of tests conducted at regular intervals. Arts, Science and Business courses as regulated by the State Department ot Education, Board of Regents, are brought to a successful con- clusion with the presentation ot a diploma testifying the titness ot the student to take his place in the world. A large percentage ot the Student body wends its way to institutions ot higher learning. Many go directly into the business world and some go into specialized fields. Several of the graduating classes have had one or more State Scholarships. A rep- resentative number ot each class enters Semi- naries or Novitates ot Religious Orders. J
