The purpose of Y Teens is as follows: To grow as a person: to grow in friendship with people of all races, religions, and nationalities: to grow in the knowledge and love of God . During the summer Carol Heckman and Lois Orr represented our club at Silver Bay where a Y Teens convention was held. Y Teens has been very active this year under the competent leadership of our president, Lois Orr and advisor Miss Duff. At the beginning of the year the club inaugurated a Big-Sister, Little- Sister program. The purpose was for each senior girl to help afreshman girl get acquainted. They held a party for their little sisters in the gym at which the senior girls received their pins and the junior girls were initiated. A Thanksgiving assembly was put on by the Y Teens girls. The theme was Count Your Blessings . It was very well planned and much work was put into it by the Chairlady, Mary F. Lininger. A Thanksgiving dance was held on the same day. Bob Connors from Erie was the Master of Ceremonies. It was carefully planned and was very successful through the hard work of the Chairlady, Pat Keller.
