With the help of Mr. Lawson, our debate coach, our teams, affirmative and negative, have been very successful, During the course of the debating season, we had debates with the following schools: McDowell, North East, Wesleyville, Harborcreek, and Academy. In April, the main affirmative and negative teams participated in the Allegheny Debate Tournament at Allegheny College. Many schools from the northwestern portion of the state took part. One senior member will receive the Allegheny award at commencement. The best affirmative and best negative speakers will also receive awards at commence- ment.
