Their first perfor- mance was the Newspaper Staff play, Deadline,', written by Georgia lniigg. This was presented in an assembly program. However, their hit. of the year was Georg-ia's three act comedy, A Bundle From Britain. This play was so good that it rated a night performance. A command performance was given later at Battles Memorial School. The benefits from this play helped to finance this Unitas. Many thanks to Georgia and the cast for their grand work. Needless to say, we're proud as Punch of this active group. We hope they'll continue to carry on the good work in the years to come-without Georgia, we're sorry to say. EEA. President- - , , ,,,. Immediately after the initiation of the new members, they started making plans for the year. The F. F. A. is our traveling club. They made bus trips to farm shows in Waterford and Jefferson, Ohio. Many of the fellas, accompanied by Mr. Venman, attended the state farm show at Harrisburg for several days. That was the treat of the year for the boys. The year came to a close with the annual F, F. A. Father and Son banquet. 51

i'fIf9fUNITAS+4f7 yfnixeczl gdorud l'rcsidc11l ,H , W, , Kenny Getz Secrelary-Treasurer,, , ., Norma Miller Mr. Wood and the chorus worked very hard all year to bring us a wonderl'ul spring concert. Without a doubt, they were successful because on April I0 and I l the audience heard some beautiful music. We were all proud ol' them. The chorus made one trip to Wesleyville in April to give a musical program in return for the one they brought to us earlier in the year. The joke of the year was heard at chorus rehearsal just before the concert when lllr. Wood said, All right, girls, 'Kiss Me Againif' We'll never quite forget that one. As any inelnbcr will tell you, the chorus is one place where work can be fun. And the wonderful thing is that their work gives the rest ol' us enjoyment, too. MI' vcdoof gan!! l,I'f?Slil1Cl1l , ., slkflarion Robertson Secrvlary-'l'reasur0r,, , , , , s ,, , Dorothy .Kirkland This is a brand new group in which we're all interested. VVe've heard them play every day this year and, at lirst, it sounded pretty awful. But, under the direction of Mr. Wood, they've made so much progress that we actually look forward to eighth period practice. The band made several appearances this year, but their big nights were April 10 and ll when they took part in our annual spring concert. 'l'heir music makes us realize how valuable an asset a school band can be. Yet, the fact that we've been without one these past few years makes us appreciate Mr. Wood and his band all the more. 53
