'lf9+UNlTAS'4+7+ Scdoof C!l1Ll'l6!Cl,I SEPTEMBER -Started the New Year with much vim and vigor. -First meeting of 'Unitas Staff. Talked over new book and financial matters. Mostly financial matters. -Red letter day at Union! The U. H. Memorial Field was dedicated. A big thrill for everyone. -Big night-Union played Wesleyville on the home field. At half-time the Freshmen were initiated in fine style. Dance afterward in their honor-they earned it! OCTOBER -Six weeks' tests. Parody on Kipling: Lord, God of hosts was with us not. So we forgot. So we forgot. -6'Yeah, team, beat North East! was the theme of the day. -Was everybody happy? Sure enough. No school-Teacher's Institute. -Oh, our achin, backs! The Seniors left bright and early to pick potatoes. -Good or bad, we all received some news that day. You guessed it-report 1 cards. -A gala night. The annual Halloweien Carnival took place in the gym. NOVEMBER -Big game at Lawrence Park in the afternoon. The gals' night to howl- Sadie Hawkin's Day Dance in the gym. -Lucky day for Seniors! Boarded school bus for Erie to visit the court house and the jail. -Newspaper Staff play called Deadline Lots of fun for all. -All was quiet on the Union front. The reason? Audiometer tests. 26-More tests-the six weeks, kind. 29-Slept and ate and slept some more-vacation time! DECEMBER -A very important day! Dismissal at l:1t5g teachers meeting. -All Seniors took the Kuder Preference Test. Very interesting results, too. -What a bedlam!-locker inspection. As if that weren't enough-report cards, too. Basketball season started with a big game at Fairview. -The old gym looked mighty sharp in red and gold. F ootball banquet. -Junior Class Christmas dance. Nice! -With A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, we all left Union for a swoonderful vacation. 13

Basketball game with North East. 29fIntelligence tests for Seniors were given in the library. Now they know, kids! 31wOh, unhappy day! We lost the game at ltflillcreek. FEBRUARY 7aFirsl. battle of wits. Union debated at. North East. 8-An extra-special night! The 5'Candy Heart Ball was held in the gym. No doubt, Dan Cupid had himself a time. 20-The faculty team played the Juniors at noon. What next? 2lvWe all wished for more snow. MARCH lafleorgia Imig presented her play, HA Bundle from Britain. Thanks to 3, Georgia and her W. P. A., everyone had a grand time-and lots of money was made for our Unitas. 4, 5-The big snow. More fun! 8ANot so much fun. School on Saturday. 27, 4, 10, 28-The Annual Spring Concert. was presented by M r. Wood and his Chorus. APRIL 7MEaster vacation. That's always welcome. 11AThe Seniors presented their play, Slice It Thin. Pretty good if we do say so! 18aF. F. A, banquet. Lots of fun-and food. 2lAOur band and chorus traveled to Wesleyville where they gave a musical 1, program. Were we proud of them! MAY 2-Something new was added! A spring vacation! 2-The night of the Junior-Senior Prom. There Was music in the air. l6aSenior class day exercises. 25-Baccalaureate. 27-That was the night! Commencement! We Seniors never thought we'd make il. 30aVaeation. We were still recovering from the twenty-seventh. JUNE 4-Oh, joy! Summer vacation. 'l3ye, gang. We'l'l be seeing you around. 19
