The I hodes team was com- posed of veterans, and the quality of ball i)layed by these boys was high. In the coming year, the age limit will be nineteen years. Baseball and swimming were by far the most popular sports in the spring term of 1950. Beginning in the fall term, basketball, .softball, volleyball, handball and tennis were added to the sport program and there was lively intramural competition among the boys and girls. Our Parents Come to School v% Dr. Ruth Strang, Professor of Education At Teachers College, at the P T Meeting Our Prom — The Waldorf — January 13tli Television brings •x_,99 Mr. Curiosity to see us act , ' ' ) for a preview audience | on the stair An episode in the NBC production, Mr. Curiosity, starring Wally Butterworth, and produced by Bill Garden, was televised at Rhodes on March 13, 1951. The general synopsis was that Mr. Curiosity wondered what was going on behind the doors of Rhodes, and wandered in to see for him- self. The parts played by Rhodes students were unrehearsed, though as you can see Wally Butterworth is reading from a script. Steve Lyons won a five dollar prize for an- swering the greatest number of questions in the least time during a quiz more farcical than the ordinary Rhodes exam. Our Camera Club ' s Photogenic Contest Elects Miss Rhodes The most ambitious project of the Rhodes Camera Club was the Photogenic Contest, held in November at the P-T meeting, and ending in December when the school elected its Miss Rhodes by popular vote. Pictures of seventy-two Rhodes girls were taken by members of the club, enlarged, and mounted on two huge panels. All the work was done in the school darkroom, under the direction of Mr. Milton Fried and Mr. David Frost, the faculty advisors of the Camera Club.
