HINE Over the mantel in the home of a neighbor when I was a child these words were enclosed in a picture frame: WThree pleasant things -- To be here To be here together and To think well of one anothern. Well, seniors, it has been pleasant to be here with you for three years and we do think well of you. We have encouraged you to develop your interests and talents so that you may live a full and useful life. we call attention to the fact that use of knowledge is much more important than acquiring it. You have probably sensed this because, along with all your fun at Rhodes, you have indicated a seriousness of purpose. Your leadership and cooperation where school goals are involved have been much appreciated. we needed your help and you have offered it. Your cooperation is an indication that you have been showing respect for others. In turn, you have been giving them an opportunity to enjoy and respect you. Take good care of this yearbook. It will always be a treasure for you. Perhaps you can bring it to a class reunion--five, ten, twenty, twenty-five years from now.
