NEIL D. MATHEWS To Members of the Class of January. 1954: The diploma which each of you will receive upon your graduation from Rhodes High School carries with it a great amount of prestige. The performance of Rhodes students and graduates over the years, in school and out, has had much to do with the growth of that prestige. The value of your diploma and the diplomas of other Rhodes graduates, past and future, can be enhanced by the things you do and the way you do them. It is important therefore that you be conscious of and accept your full share of responsibility for protecting and promoting the good name of your school.
