The next afternoon e Iunior Class joined with the Southwestern Sing- s to present an impressive Christmas vesper serv- e and cantatag and everyones thoughts turned to hristmas and Santa Claus f7l, On the 19, KD, AOPi, Kappa Sig, Tri Delta, and E all entertained with Christmas parties prior to e dorm students' departure the next day. The brought the lntercollegiate Forum sponsored by e Student Council with Virginia lones as chair- an. Representatives from fifty colleges throughout e nation were guests of Southwestern for the day.

E 8 . Students returned to the old grind Ianuary 4, but the after-holiday calm was extremely short-lived. Ianuary 5 the devastatingly beautiful freak ice storm struck Memphis, transforming SouthWestern's campus into a true Winter wonderland. Classes con- tinued while the city was Virtually paralized due to ice burdened elec- tric and telephone Wires CID. The student body danced in the gym at the Pan-Hellenic dance Ianu- ary 7 and cheered the ten Lynx love- lies at the Beauty Review on the l3th 125. The three-night Players' Potpourri featured Charles Clifton and Roscoe Field in Box and Cox and Iackie Roland and Woody Mor- riss in Sweethearts C3,4D. The KA's introduced their H1950 Rose , Sarah Loaring-Clark, at their elaborately planned Old South
