Barbara Flippin and lean Arnold were selected as her alternates 143, with Patty Smith and Mimi Green as runners-up. Zeta C51 and ATO C71 walked away with the KD All-Sing cups ISD November 18, leaving AOPi and Sigma Nu in second place. The KA's took rushees to the country at their l-layloft Party in the KA lodge November 18g and the next day was Christian Union-sponsored Fall Sunday with town students throwing open their homes for the day to Southwestern's two hundred sixty dormitory students. The ATO's, Sigma Nu's, KA's and KD's enter- ined the student body with open houses. The appa Sig's drew open the curtain on the l949-50 reek letter formal season with their Holiday Ball ecember 17 at the King Cotton. The next afternoon e Iunior Class joined with the Southwestern Sing- s to present an impressive Christmas vesper serv- e and cantatag and everyones thoughts turned to hristmas and Santa Claus f7l, On the 19, KD, AOPi, Kappa Sig, Tri Delta, and E all entertained with Christmas parties prior to e dorm students' departure the next day. The brought the lntercollegiate Forum sponsored by e Student Council with Virginia lones as chair- an. Representatives from fifty colleges throughout e nation were guests of Southwestern for the day.
