We are still in an early, experimental stage; it is possible that our efforts are really harvesting atten- tion in comparison with the apparent lack of interest in the past. We are concerned with the kind of alumni-student program that can be fashioned within the framework of the college. We think we have scratched the sur- face, and we sincerely hope to progress as time goes by. What do we really want from you, our new members? May we suggest loyalty for our college, yours and mine. Presidents and administrations may come and go, but a loyal alumni organization is indeed irreplaceable. The fact is, that the alumni worker and the college president, however varied some of their daily duties may be, serve shoulder to shoulder in much of their work; they face the same challenge. You who go forth from this college should be ever mindful of the fact that the training received was not merely an equipment to aid in earning a living, or acquiring fame or fortune. You are the strongest link the college has with the general public. You, as students of colleges and universities, are the most important “off-campus” public. We, as alumni, shall gain fresh enthusiasm from you, our new mem- bers, while you will realize that you have joined a great, continuing associa- tion with your college. Peter C. F.
