CLASS PRESUDE TS MESSAGE Who can express the glow and wonder of college graduation? Who can express the fulfillment of a youthful ideal? Who, the beauty of a friendship? Who, the Splendor of discovery? Whatever the thought, it is but the shadow of the joy that is ours at this moment. And yet, in rejoicing, we are not with- out sadness: four .years we haye known each otherg our minds have pulsed as one, ours was a growth, rare and tender-an unfolding that instilled in us the wisdom that we mare, ulti- mately, ignorant and incomplete. The finer spirits and hopes of life are more abundant than the dark disenchantments and sorrows. In days ahead our vision may become weak, our walk, unsteady, but the strength that may fail us briefly on life's rugged path will be restored to us and our hearts and minds tu, 811511-f0ll1' will be renewed by the memories of these glad hours. ' With gratitude and humility, we do and must leave our teachers and our college- our alma mater-the polestar and beacon of our young lives. V This end is our beginning.
