At the lirst meeting the stall members decide on the theme, type ol printing and the photographer. Then the dum- my is drawn up with care and accuracy. Write-ups and pictures have to be arranged attractively and properly to obtain lull value ol the space on a page. The space lor every picture and write-up is estimated by the number ol square inches. pictures are identi- lied and then are mounted on copy sheets which correspond with the pages ol the dummy. Lilcewise, snapshots are trimmed and laid out. Blaclc paper is measured and placed in the space allotted to draw- ings and pictures. The write-ups must be completed by a set deadline and are measured by the number ol characters. Alter all the material is carelully .l checl4ed and laid out, the copy is given the Final proofreading. Still, important decisions have to be made on the type ol paper, print and cover material to insure the production ol a worthy annual.
