Sophomore Class Hlstory On 1 b11ght xutumn morn1ng ea1ly 1n beptember 1n the yea1 1918 A D 1 bxnd of crusaders prepared to lay slege to the Red Castle on the h1ll Th1s band had completed 1ts course as SQUIFQS at the Castle Central md 111 the NSINICG of the Church CParoLh1al Schooll md were now pre p ued to set out on a re ll venture 1n l1fe Up the h1ll they marched md c1ossed the moat where they were assa1led by the 1ealous kn1ghts of a h1ghe1 degree who had been 1n the o1der a year or more Some of the new members were ducked 1n the mo It 1n order to try the1r endurance As the newcomers were unarmed they could not put up 1 very st1ff de fense But soon all were duly reg1stered g1ven the1r armor and made leadx to conduct a ugorous crusade In o1de1 to follow closelx th1s m1rat1ve It 1s essent1al that the d1ffer ent degrees of the o1der be d1st1ngu1shed so that the readers w1ll not become confused The latest add1t1on to the Crusaders became the Holy Kn1ghts of the Frosh The second year members are the KH1ghtQ of the 'Qoph the th1rd kn1ghts Jun1o1s and lastly the most tr1ed of all the Kmghts of the Crad Thele was conslderable r1valry between the varlous degrees of the of the I41osh As the other kn1ghts pe1s1sted IH molest1ng the new mem bers a meet1ng was called at wh1ch the Frosh organ1zed 1Ht0 a powerful body It was the largest degree of the order and promlsed to set records h1the1to unequaled S1r Kmght Bertram of Trag1c was named preceptor w1th Slr Count de Bones the Second as h1s able l1eutenant The Duchess of M1rboyce was named VICQ preceptor and Erw1n of Severson Scr1be Th1s and othe1 campa1gns were broken by a more powerful force than all the armles of the world put together that of a great plague called the Flu wh1ch confined many noble kn1ghts to the1r couches It soon spread to all parts of the country so that the Grand Master of Health was obl1ged to close all publlc act1v1t1es for several moons thereby greatly de l1y1ng the crusades As the country was short of Red Cross camps the Lastle was used as a base hospltal Under such able leadersh1p the degree of the Frosh set out at once f1ga1nst the Salacens of Algebra Th1s great redoubt was held by small but powerful hends named x2w2 A weary tussle ensued wh1ch cost many hours Qstudy hoursj of hard toll The plague passed over as It had come 1n a short t1me about three moons Resum1ng the1r Campalgn the Crusaders found themselves a llttle rusty after the1r enforced rest but soon the great mach1ne was go 1ng better than before The Kn1ghts of the Frosh contlnued the11 separate campa1gns but 1n several challenges for fr1endly 1ousts the ent1re order comblned forces to compete for the pr1ze The d1stant country of MIHOCQUB challenged the Red Castle to a tournament to be held at M1nocqua SIX or seven nobles were detalled to uphold the laurels of the order and accord1ngly set out amld the part1ng cheers of fellow kn1ghts and fa1r damsels Among the champlons was the Knlght of Trag1c a member and preceptor of the Frosh These nobles overcame the M1nocquans on all s1des and returned v1ctor1ous to the Red Castle Th1s contest was onlv one of the many tournaments held that year at wh1ch the honor of the Order was unblem1shed Also many Jousts were held on the fields of the castle at home.
