Senirjrs Recipe for Happiness Two cups of patience (like that of Mr. Art Kunselman's or Miss Mar- garet 3rocious’s) One handful of love (which can be found under any stairwell during the fourth and fifth lunch periods) Two tablespoons of generosity (Mark Gresock giving some of his pizzaburgers to a buddy) Dash of laughter (like Mr. Charles Stuart’s) One headful of understanding (take Mr. Austin who has to juggle students, teachers, and parents) Sprinkle generously with kindness. Spread over a lifetime and serve to everyone you meet. Happiness is the little things that are a part of everyday life that we take so much for granted. A simple laugh, a carefree movement, can bring back the mem- ories of a fellow classmate. You glance down a street, see a familiar silhouette, and you are ready to call out your best friend’s name. You’re sure that you'll never forget that person. Yet, when he turns around, it is not him at all. Happiness is living to see our POW bracelets no longer needed. Our boys came home! Happiness is having a local newspaper editor write a long col- umn praising us. It’s having former Director Robert Brown return and compli- ment us on our clean school. It’s having a stand-up assembly to honor Terri, Cathy, Carl, Terry, Myrna, and Grant for having placed in DECA or VICA com- . petitions. Happiness is being able to use our hands with all of our hearts as we use our heads.
