il as . L t 1 I e v' f AQ r . 'fi' Creative Writers Learn Sey-Expression This was only the second year for the creative writing club but the members plunged in like old timers. For the first time this year the entire school was asked to contribute material to be used in a publication for RHS. Because of the great amount of material which was received for Hyperbole, as the book was called, the club found it necessary to delay the publication date. Many of the members produced prize-winning material and all learned more about the English language and the art of self- expression. 5. For Sandy A sad-eyed lady, in blue velvet Led me through the tangled weeds, Until we came upon a beach Where there was no end to time. We walked along the golden shore, Our faces held against the wind, I and the lady in blue velvet Strolling on the timeless sands. Then she was gone, as was the land And now I am forever searching O'er all of the golden sands For a sad-eyed lady in blue velvet. Timm Riley
