op omore ewa The class of 1951 had twelve enrolled as Freshmen But as Sophomores they claimed only eleven as David Krnzie dropped out and Donald Kxle enrolled in the Beatrice H1gh School Helen K1ssell is the new member Officers were elected as follows President Junior Cerveny Vice President Eugene Cerveny Secretary Helen Kissell Treasurer Leo Feis Student Council Donald Gregory Sponsor Mr Vance Two members of the class Junior Cerveny and Donald Gregory were members of the first basketball squad Robert Gibson Rodney Hellbusch Harlan Fangmier and Edward Nutz also partlcipated in athletics Junior Cerveny won three rlbbons the Pioneer Track Meet Helen Melvm gave a dramatic reading at the Pioneer Dramatic contest and the entrre class participated in the play Spreading the News presented on Patron s Day grea Dian ew.4 Thirteen Freshmen registered in Reynolds High School September 6 1 49 Officers elected were Pres rdent Marvin Heller Vice President James Brandt Secretary LaRue .Tunker Student Council Dwight Safar An imtiation party was held in the gymnasium September 19 and the Freshmen gave a return party October Z7 All Freshmen boys partxczpated rn Athletics Marvin Heller Dwight Safar and James Brandt being regulars on the second team All girls played volleyball and two Erlene Welch and Marilyn Priefer participated in dramatics 19 . . . . i . . in All Sophomore girls participated in girls' athletics. . . . .
