THE SUN DIAL The Sun Dial the High School's newspaper was started 'ln 1932 under the sponsor ship of Miss Fisher The Junior and Senior Classes have helped with the work dunng the entire time It has been published The custom at first was to change the staff members every semester In 1943 the staff members were changed every six weeks and this custom was followed th1s year Wanda DeFrain was Editor in Chief the fmrst six weeks then Darlene Garber followed by Barbara Gregory Alice R.1ddle was the Editor the fourth six weeks The Juniors published the fifth six weeks editxon of the Sun D1al for 1947 48 The sixth and last edxtion found Lyle Dragoo and Bill Shoots as Co editors Bxlhe Barton was the muneograph operator for 1947 48 Mrs Ray Hoyt has sponsored the Sun Dial for the past two years Approximately one hundrgd and thlrty copxes of each of the s1x issues were pubhshed The subscr1pt1on price was twenty cents to the school cluldren thmrty five cents to the town people and forty five cents 1f mauled to the subscnbers An exchange of pubhcatxons w1th the other schools of the county and mn other states was ma1nta1ned Thzs gave us an opportunity to see what other schools dxd and to pass our xdeas on to them The Sun D1al was self supported and fmlled a worthy need of the school tttrlrt IIHIHHHII 4:44:44 nm-tt turn: :num Character IS a perfectly educated w11l Norvalxs 1 1 ' . . . . - n . . . - - D , , . 4 . . . s 4 .
