PEP CLUB The Pep Club met at the beginxung of the year and elected offmcers as follows President Wanda DeFra1n V1ce Pres1dent Ahce R1ddle Sec and Treas Bertha Cerveny Darlene Garber and Barbara Gregory were chosen cheerleaders and Deleores Garber and Frances Gibson as assxstant cheerleaders The cheerleaders wore wh1te turtle necked sweaters and black pleated skirts On the back of the sweaters they had an orange R and letters spell1ng Tmgers curved over the top of the R The assistant cheerleaders wore black accordlon pleated slurts and white blouses with a megaphone on the back of thexr blouses The Pep Club sold pop candy and pop corn at all the home garrles thxs year The girls took turns going down to the lunch room at the last per1od on the day of a garne There they popped and sacked the pop corn They bought their pop and candy through the Krause Lunch They had a balance of S17 'fl at the begmnxng of the year They made S46 04 during the year makmg a grand total of S63 43 The money was used for transportatlon to ball games The Pep Club went two nights of the Invitational Tournarnent at Plyrnouth Mr and Mrs Hoyt chaperoned the bus The bus also went two nights to the P1oneer Conference Tourney at Plymouth The Pep Club again held a picnic at the Fairbury City Park for all the boys and h1gh school faculty After the picnic, some of the students attended the show while others went roller skating The following girls bought black and orange jackets Eva Slagle, Joan Thaller, Joan Safar Corlyn DeFrain Janis Iunker, Frances Gibson, Darlene Garber, Alice Riddle, Barbara Gregory and Delores Garber They also bought letters, made of orange felt and spelhng Reynolds which they put on the back of their jackets , , .................... - Sponsor--------------------------------- Mrs. Hoyt ll ll ' It ' Ol tl Ol .
