UNDERGRADS JUNIORS SOPHOMORES Beachler Duane Beachler Roscoe Cerveny Bertha DeFra:m Corlyn Fe1s Donald Garber Delores Gibson Frances Heller Norbert Junker Janis EaVon Krause PaulC J M1l1us Vernon Nutz Bonnie Jean O Neal Harold Safar Duane Slemsen, Dwaine J UNIORS Boyd Otis Cerveny Nyla J I-lellbusch, Dawn Michels Rozella Roden Wayne Riddle Frieda Shoup Esther Shoup Jo Ann Slagle Eva Mae Steffens Darlme Lakey Luther Krueger, Karl Smith Dudley Thaller Joan Warren Dayrel Wolcott Darrel REMINISCENCE F RESHMEN Cerveny Eugene Cerveny Junior Fangmeyer Harlan Feis Leo Gzbson Robert Gregory Donald Hellbusch, Rodney Kile Donald Melvin Helen Nutz, Edward Safar Joan In September 1945 s1xteen green freshies were imtiated into good old Reynolds I-hgh and soon were busy with the numerous activzmties That sarne year seven of the sixteen freshmen took part 1n draxnatics The followxng were elected as class officers Donald Fe1s Pres1dent Duane Beachler Vice President Bill Krause Secretary and Treasurer Mrs Ben Pnefert Sponsor The Sophomore year brought back sixteen members but Geraldine Schwisow had gone to Faxrbury and Jams Junker carne from Fairbury Durmg the year Romona Krause moved to Washington State leaving fifteen sophomores They remauxed the saxne number throughout the the sophomore year Four of the class took part mn dramatics Romona Krause was chosen to carry a part in Three Moss Roses the Junior Class Play The following were chosen as officers Duane Beachler VICC President Frances Gibson Secretary and Treasurer Mrs Ray Hoyt Sponsor Bertha Cerveny and Roscoe Beachler were chosen and elected Queen and King of the all school carnival Bill Krause and Duane Beachler were regulars on the f1rst team basketball squad The Junior year brought back the same fifteen members The following were elected as class offxcers Donald Feis Presxdent Roscoe Beachler Treasurer Frances Gibson Secretary Delores Garber Student Councillor Mrs Ray Hoyt Sponsor Delores Garber and Duane Safar were chosen and elected Queen and King of the all school carnival Only two, Delores Garber and Corlyn DeFrain took part in dramatics All the boys either played on the first teaxn or the second tearn in basketball and were very outstandzng in softball The girls all played on the volley ball team Bertha Cerveny and Duane Beachler sang a duet and Janis Junker, Corlyn DeFraln Delores Garber, and Frances Gibson formed a quartet and furnished the special numbers at the Junior Play Bertha sang a solo at Commencement she and Duane Beachler sang a duet at the .Tunlor Senior Banquet I I I I I 5 I I I . The Junior Class Play Everybody s Getting Married, a three act farce comedy, was a gred success It was held November 7 1947 and was directed by Miss Daisy Chamberlain Bill Krause assisted by Lyle Dragoo was a faithful stage manager redecoratlng and painting the scenery and helped in many ways The cast was the following Donald Fels Reginald D Arcy Roscoe Beachler Dean Garrett Bertha Cerveny Duane Safar Corlyn DeFrain Delores Garber Frances Gibson Janis Junker Bonnie Nutz Dwaine Siemsen Duane Beachler Vernon Milius Norbert Heller Viola Compton James Dulcey Lane Miss Effie Cramer Mrs Lancaster Mrs Hardin Mrs O Leary Marie Blake Floppy Smith Spike Jones Tip McCarty Harold O'Neal . . . . . Mr. Gordon On February ll 1948 they received their rings which were made of Rose gold and Green cut gold with black nuxnerals and emblems The Junior Senior Banquet under the supervision of Mrs Hoyt was held on May 7 1948 The Juniors planned the banquet on the Senior motto Tonight we Set Sail They went to a show at Fairbury after the banquet The Methodist Ladies Aid Society served the del1c1ous three course meal The Juniors and their sponsor Mrs Hoyt decorated for Baccalaureate wluch was held on the ninth of May They also decorated for Commencement which was held on the thlrteenth of May The Juniors enjoyed publishing the fifth issue of the Sun Dial Watch for th1s class next year when they will be the Seniors of 49 848114 411111 tiff!! ififff 18141803 'tiff' 44141 Education is not information it is the ability to use information
