'ZOe s4%e 76e ' from the beginning of the XV Winter Olympic games held in Calgary, many students have been in the Olympic spirit. Rey- nolds High School will put in a bid for the summer games in 1992 to be held in an anonymous field in Fredonia. In addition to the traditional events, we have added a few of our own. Sophomore Riche e Campbell is our first promising competitor in a new Olympic event; she will be participating in the “52 + pick- up . hoping to merit the title of Quicker Picker Upper. Her train ing ground is the yellow hall where she can be found most any after- noon wiling away the hours. Good luck. Richele. A second participant is Miles Lawrence, a leading contender in flag raising and lowering. Miles practices daily and has an assis- tant. Miss April DeWolf, who might act as a substitute if Miles’ strained biceps don’t improve. Jody and Jami King are considered experts in the field of sib- ling rivalry. Since day 1 these two seniors have been vying with each other for first place. Action between these devoted athletes is expected to be a fight to the bitter end. Jami was quoted in the press last week as stating that even though Jody looked like him, she was not identical and therefore could not be expected to be vic- torious. Another prominent competitor is Charlene Kuhn; she is the World Junior Champion in co-ed arm wrestling. She will be defend- ing her title against arch rival Brad “Cooter Manville who lost to her during the World Championship Tournament. Brad has been building muscle recently by following a high protein diet. Most nights will find him working up a big appetite at Pizza Joe’s Our final contender for the games is Sherry Fenton who is shown above at a recent practice session. Sherry, as many of you are probably unaware, is the World Champion Morocco Beater Sherry displays a love for this sport. She showed considerable skill at an early age when she, carrying a baseball bat, began to chase her younger brother Matt. We at Reynolds wish the athletes the best ol luck. Bring home the gold! -by Denny Daniello r,cilured, above: Richele Campbell, Miles Lawrence, Sherry Fenton, Charlene Kuhn, Brad Manville. Jodi King and Jami King. -4- Introduction 11
