Her court consisted of Peggy Gardner and Mary Kay Fordyce, senior attendants; Mary Prezioso, junior at- tendant; Kris Fiedler, sophomore attendant; and Julie Allen, freshman attendant. Other festivities in- cluded the homecom- ing football game in which the mighty Raiders were victor- ious over the Grove City Eagles by a score of 27-0. A repeat performance of a reenactment of the Civil War provided halftime entertain- ment. 8 Top Last Year’s RHS Goes Plum Crazy We Dedicate The Book To ... As they entered the refurbished gymnasium, they were touched with the sparkle of “Oriental Romance.” “Crossroads” provided the musical entertainment while the couples danced under decorative Japanese lanterns and kites. The giant Buddha reigned over the festivities while spreading his sweet aroma of incense throughout the cherry-blossomed trees. Fortune cookies helped to add authenticity to the occasion. RHS Pep Assemblies: 46 Let’s Get A Little Bit Rowdy Christmas Concert Mr. Paden And Mrs. Eich Retire Instead of trying to find substitutes for teachers who cannot come to school or dealing with students who have broken rules, Mr. Oscar Paden will be spending his time golfing, fishing, and doing many other things he enjoys. Mr. Paden graduated from Pennsylvania State University and obtained his master’s degree from Pitt. He taught Vocational Agriculture for three years at Claysville High School, and then moved to Grove City to teach the same subject in the Grove City High School for the next fifteen years. While at Grove City, he served as Vice-Principal for two and one half years. His next move was to Reynolds High School, and he has been the Vice-Principal for the past eleven years. Mr. Paden has received several honors during his working years: President of the Department of Vocational and Practical Arts Education of the Pennsylvania State Education Association, 1964-1965; Valley Forge Teachers Medal in 1965 from the Valley Forge Freedom Foundation; The Honorary Keystone Farmer Degree from the Pennsylvania State Association of Future Farmers of America. Thank you, Mr. Paden, for your many years of dedicated service. You have been a good friend to the students. You will be missed. After graduation from Grove City College with a degree in Business Administration, Mrs. Eich went to work in the Sharon Steel Office. She worked there for one year then moved on to Malleable Steel. In 1956 she began working at the Fredonia Delaware High School and later moved to the new Reynolds High School building where she has been continually busy working for the School Board. After retirement, Mrs. Eich plans to work outdoors, travel, and do the things she never had time to do before. After the excitement is over, though, she says, “I’ll miss the people and the challenge of keeping up.” She added, “I’ll miss the association with the business people and attending the conferences.” Although many students have had no personal contact with Mrs. Eich, she has been working hard behind the scenes to keep Reynolds School District a fine district in which to attend school. 50 JUNIORS Darcy Adams Thomas Arbanas Terri Arblaster Dawn Artherholt Ronald Artman Carla Attarholt Larry Auchter Jill Augustine Timothy Benton Officers: Dave D’Urso, President; Mary Prezioso, Treasurer; Karen Suich, Secretary; Brad Reichard, Vice-President. Mr. Jones enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. His favorite activities are playing handball, swimming, and boating. The students of Reynolds High School will miss Mr. Jones, who left at mid-year to take a position in business. We hope that a lot of fine memories left with him. We will remember him for a long time. Thank you, Mr. Jones, for the time you spent with us and for caring so much. 82 In Memoriam Richard Tate To know the joy of living is to know life’s worthwhile things. The satisfaction of work well done, the joy that friendship brings, It’s counting up a lifetime not by the years we’ve spent, But by our store of memories and by our heart’s content. 84 The Mighty Raider Football Team 'm!
