U Q U own, emorg, mme J It is 1877 There's hr Thomas McEnt1re and his sons out planting young maple trees south of the little red brick building about to be completed I just heard someone SGY the school house is completely finished, and that it cost s3,hOO! My M !! Uhat's going on here? It 'seems to be some sort of an exhibition to help pay for the new bell that swings 1n the belfry Here comes Mr Mumey Chefs the principal, you know J There aze only two grades in this school The first year students are Juniors and the last year students are seniors This seems to be a special occasion. The year is 1890 and the first graduating class four graduates, three boys and one girl The smallest class was in 1892 one graduate Shall we go further' It is 1901.1 and the two graduates are pqing for their diplomas!!! There doesn't seem to be much going on now Oh wait, here's 1920! R H S is now a community school Hurry along let us be on our way! We shall stop and rest at l93l when another year of school is added making a four year school. Here's l932 and twelve graduates are leaving these wise old halls Come no time to loiter! Such bustle and bustle I wonder what those men are building? One of them just said that he would be glad when the gymansium was finished, The little red school house must have grown too small!! I hear that the old sale barn has been sold and the high school is planning to use it as an nAg Barnn We must be passing on! 1938 looms ahead! A school addition to going up at the cost of 350,000. Arother important year ia 19150--I see many new faces because the neighboring non high school diitricts petitioned into our district Say, why are those buses rolling East? The senior class is taking a trip for the first time. It is '146-and the class is bound for New York, 'Tashington, and Niagara Falls. Take a note of this-donit tell me,they are going to raise hogs back of the school! Oh pardon me those are to be class rooms. Another addition! My! Man improvements in 1950-new tile floors and complete re-decoration. Things are looking more familiar as we come along to 'S2. Those new stage curtains certainly are attractive. What do you know-the shower room is finally painted and the room be- hind the stage is fixed up. Oh look! A crystal ball! Shall we peek? Reynolds Community High School has become Com unity Unit District 300. The grade schools and the high school are under the di-I'0Cf-1011 of one superidtlentg more non-high school districts have been added. We see a bright future for the newly organized school district. The crystal ball dims now. It is time for us to go.Hope ybu'va en- joyed walking down Huemory Lanen as much as I have.
