-1-X N 'X 'S i MJ S3 In the fall of 191.17 as the pupils assembled in the Reynolds hlgh gym, the upper-classmen gazed with amusement and envy at the strlklngly intelllgent looklng 80 some fresh en enrolled 1n the class of 1951 Thls class proved to be an extremely remarkable one ln every respect and soon b came well developed ln soclal 3Ct1V1t16S an athletics Officers were elected to pllot thls noble class through the first year of hlgh school ordeals, na ely, Gary Mueller, presldent, Ronnie Kerres, vice presldent, Irene Lawrence, secretary, Dor1s Bush, treasurer, Jean Verschopre, class representatlve, Paul Danner, class representatlve, and Lrs Thoman, sponsor We were all members of eit er Boys Club or Glrls Club and several were membe s of organizatlons as FFA and FHA, and Boys and Glrls Chorous Desplte thelr scholarly ablllty and angellc conduct they were not sorry to see vacatlon at hand, but came back the September following the1r three months of play, sophlstlcated sophomores This year was even better than the flrst, although there fare only seventy-e1ght 11th us th1S year Je chose Ronnle Kerres, presldent Jeanean Freyermuth, secretary, Marllyn Doonan, treasurer, Kat1e Whitlock class representatlve, Donald Nice, class representatlve, and Miss Anderson as our class sponsor. These were our leaders for the year On October 15, l9h8, when Reynolds had their f1rst homecoming queen, one of our sophomore girls aitehsih the queen, and two soph more boys, Paul Danner and Eddie Forsythe were attendants also We had a skating party at the Pro and gave a party for the Freshmen class this year. 11 . On October 25 the QBDIOTS sponsored a program A negro choir presented the program CODS1St1ng of negro sp1r1tuals and other songs an Oy n House, sponsored by the Student Councll, was held on Novembe many of the sen1ors took part in the program T e senlor play was held on November 16 and 17 It was a comedy The senlor p1ctures were taken by Paul's Studlo on November 28 The last four events of the year were Class Nlght, Baccalaureate Graduat1on, and our senlor trip. Durlng th1s most famous and flnal year of four, the class was strongly represented ln all athletlcs and in Student Councll, Glrls Club FHA, FFA, Boys Chorus, and G1rls Chorus They have also led the younger classes along the rugged path to glory, settlng a shinlng example for all wayward ones, 1n school pep, loyalty, and honorable scholarshlp In cons1derat1on of all the extraordinary ab1l1t1es and acccmplidi ments of this lllustrlous class, surely ue can say with all truth that the Senmor Class of 1951 15 at least equal to any class that has ever graduated from dear old R C H S Motto Whether we r1se or fall, we do our best Flower Amer1can Beauty Rose Color Blue and Gold 13 . . . . . 7 . . . r LO.
