BOARD OF DIRECTORS Perhaps the individuals of the community most responsible for the school in general are the mem- bers of the Board of Directors. It is up to them to decide on the curriculum, to hire teachers, and to present the opinion of the community to the school management. - There are many evidences that the Reynolds School Board is alert. The continual increase in enrollment and in territory shows they are arranging courses practical for future citizens of this community. The continual increase in the number of subjects offered shows that the directors are trying to help the wide variety of talent and ability found among high school students. The continual increase in the number of teachers 4There were four ten years agog nine this yearg and there will be ten next year! shows that, at the same time as the enrollment is increasing, classes can be comparatively small and individual attention can be given. This year Mr. Frank Venable resigned the posi- tion he had held for twenty years, on the school board. He had been secretary of the group much of that time. To succeed Mr. Venable, Mr. Everett Gustafson of Perryton was elected. He has lived in this community all his life and was graduated from the Reynolds High School in 1924. Succeeding Mr. Venable as secretary is Mr. Cyrus Wait who has been a member of the board of directors for four years. This year Mr. George Shriver, the board's pres- ident, has completed nineteen years of active service. His leadership and cooperative spirit make him a val- uable mediator between the citizens of the school district and the school representatives. In nine and twelve years of experience as directors, Mr. George DeBord and Mr. Charles Dunlap have served faithfully and willingly. Having direct contact with high school students Mr. Dunlap's interest is vital o As a school family we congratulate the Board of Directors for its achievements, and we thank them for the opportunities they have afforded us through this high school.
