'64 Track Team Has Successful Season As Coach Ost said Next year is our year. Although the track season was not real successful as far as their overall record was concerned, the members showed a great deal of potential for next year's season. Also, three school records were broken, and one was tied. Jeff Springer, senior, broke the dis- cus record by throwing it 153'7 . The high jump record was broken by junior Ken Ste- wart, he jumped 5'1O . Ernest Ertel, Craig Harper, john Paulett, juniors, and Jack Nel- 4, ' son, senior, broke the 880 yard relay being clocked at 123622. The broad jump was tied by Herb Pohlmeyer when he jumped 19'9 . The first annual Decathlon, an adapta- tion of the Olympic games, was held at Re- vere in 1964. It consists of 10 track events in which the participants accumulate points. Herb Pohlmeyer, junior, took first place, Ernest Ertel, junior, took second place, and Rick Steiner, sophomore, took third place. is-. Bob Hcpler, Ernest Ertcl, and Dave Hotzapple, juniors, show determination to win. -30-

Baseball Team Narrowly Misses Trophy For the first time since 1954 Revere's baseball team had a chance to be either Suburban League Champs or to be tied for second place. Three senior members, George Poloski, Rick Meiser, and Bob Kelly, will not be seen next year, but Mr. Greynolds has hopes for a fine season again next year. ,. M k .. , .
