Lanter A staff consisting of page editors, business managers, circulation managers, reporters and typists combine efforts to publish THE LAN- TERN once every three weeks during the school year. Two car washes, one in the fall and one in the spring were held by the staff in order to raise money for operating expenses. Under the guidance of Mrs. Virginia Oca- sek, THE LANTERN participates in activities of the Columbia Scholastic Press Association and Quill and Scroll. No you're not listening to Ben Casey but a meeting of the Future Nurses of Ame- rica. This year with the help of Mrs. Amy Fischer, guidance counselor, three doctors' wives organized this club for girls interested in the nursing profession. Mrs. Frank Mc- Dunn, M. Willey, Tifft, S. Mellon, C. McKisson. Row 4: L. Hare, L. Kahnn, L. Swartz, Kerkian, B. Haines, V. Winemiller, B. Skeen, L. Rubik. Row 5: N. Welton, M. Mihelcic, B. Samolis, S. Franks, L. Pedigo, P. Wallace, T. Torgerson. Donald, Mrs. M. A. Gallagher, and Mrs. Schlrueter planned field trips for the girls every other month-the first was to Sum- mit County Receiving Hospital. The offi- cers are, Sue Newman, President, Barb Os- borne, Vice President, Secretary-Treasurer, Marylnn Adams, and Transportation Chair- man, Tana Hostermann.
